Wizard World Comicon Richmond: Day 1

We had an amazing time at the first day of Wizard World Comicon Richmond! Friday is mostly about checking out the massive dealer room. Rare items go fast! We picked up an invisible jet for MJ and some other geeky swag.

The Vendor Hall is also the best place to see amazing cosplayers. We have featured some of our favorites in the Gallery below. Linda Blair and John Schneider were signing autographs, with most of the big names celebrities hitting the Walk of Fame Saturday. Wizard World really showcases Comic creators and a variety of artists, who are creating art live on the convention floor as well as showcasing their wares.

There was a smattering of panels on Friday, including Spotlight on Marv Wolfman, who talked Crisis on Infinite Earths, Blade, Teen Titans, and more. There was also a Cosplay Q & A.  Saturday is the big day for celebrities, panels, cosplay, and more.

We’re off to get a good night sleep.  Catch you tomorrow at the Convention or you can experience it vicariously through us as we wrap up the day tomorrow. (We’d do more live updating, but there’s no free wifi and limited cell signal at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.  It is an awesome venue, otherwise.)  If you do make it to the con, you should visit the table for the CW Richmond and ConTV, which are giving away lots of geeky prizes.
